Guess what??

☀WE HAVE A BASEMENT☀

Last wednesday, our lot had just a tiny evidence of dug dirt.

Then friday, I took the kids to see just how big that hole had grown...

What a beautiful hole.

Luckily Ashlin's buddy had picked her up to get slushies after school, so we had someone to take a family picture (above) in OUR basement. We called to have Bruce meet us there on his way home from work, so we were all in the photo... Bruce, me and all 6 kiddos.

(Once Ashlin and Trevin met us there, Sophie cried and only wanted Ashlin to hold her. Poor Ashlin, even on a date ends up holding her baby sister. )

Dirt piles and big holes are fun stuff.

Bruce really took the 4 middle kids over to this big pile of dirt sunday to play in it... for TWO HOURS. ha ha. I told him not to, and that they would get too messy, then he rolled his eyes at me and said, "Are you kidding me?" and took them anyway. You Go Bruce.

And now, there's lots of forms, rebar, workers and other fun stuff going on in our big hole.
