Over the winter break, Ashlin and her friend Haley made a whole list of silly things they wanted to do together one thursday... one of which was "Make a Cardboard Castle". They were so excited and spent so many hours on this project.
Thursday:
2:00pm
First they drove around dumpster diving behind random stores to find some big boxes. Then they came back to our house and started
cutting and reassembling with Duct Tape.
{Times from picture data on my camera}
5:05pm
6:28pm
After their duct taped castle was assembled they carried it out front to spray paint.
7:39pm
7:57pm
At this point, they used all the spray paint I had bought them at Lowes. So I went out AGAIN, this time to Wal Mart (hoping it was cheaper) to buy them more spray paint.
8:57pm
{You can see little Sophie above, her & Lily were entertained all night watching them, dreaming of playing in the end project}
They let the spray paint dry over night, before Haley came back the next morning to paint brush some finishing touches...
Friday:
11:00am
~The Finished Castle~
1:12pm
After 24 hours of waiting... Miss Sophie and Lily were SO excited to finally play in their finished 4 room castle! (Haley and Ashlin very generously gave it to them) It's now in our playroom.
They even had the kids color pictures of "The Royal Family" to hang up down the hallway inside, ha ha.
I love having daughters!!
