Logan

Here are some things Logan has been in to lately:

BASKETBALL
Since moving to a new school, he plays basketball every day at recess. He begged me to sign him up for basketball again. Last year was painful watching him play WHAM basketball. He didn't understand the game, or love it that much. It has been fun to watch him this year, because he is much better. He has really improved. He is still not amazing, but he is one of the best on his team right now. Unfortunately the team isn't that wonderful, but I think it has been a really good thing in boosting Logan's self confidence.

CUB SCOUTS
This is Logans last year in cub scouts. For all of Logan's Cub Scout life, I have been a Den Leader. I love that forever he will associate his Cub Scout experience with his mom. We have both loved it. Knowing this was his last Pinewood Derby, Bruce really got in to the car this year. He did this sweet paint job, with real car paint he got from his car guy contact Adrian. The car was really fast. It had the 3rd fastest time in all the Cub Scouts. The bummer was the top 3 times were all 3 from the webelos den. Since they only took the top 2 from each den for the winners bracket... Logan didn't get to race against the other dens. Even though according to all the average times, his was faster than any boys from the other dens. This was mostly hard on Bruce. ha ha.

FRIENDS
Thank goodness Logan has made some friends at his new school he loves, so he likes the new school now. Even though his new school is much harder, he is still getting straight A's. Hooray! And there must be some social pressure among his friends to eat healthy, because every day for lunch he tells me, "no chips, just a sandwich and some carrots". Nice. I took him and his buddies to the Freestone Rec Center to do the rock wall last friday, they were cute (only logan made it all the way to the top though).

PIANO
Logan has really progressed & excelled at the piano. He seems to have a lot  of natural talent musically and artistically. This week he learned "Called To Serve"... which he chose, because he loves that song and asks me to sing it to him every night. I love listening to him play it, he plays it perfect with a lot of loud strong dynamics. He always wants to play the piano for us in FHE. And for Pack Meeting at Christmas time he played the piano to accompany the Bear Den leading the 12 days of Christmas. He is a really good piano player for his age.

DRIVING ME CRAZY
I found a whole bunch of pictures, like the above, that the kids were taking of crazy motion in the family room. Dallin learned how to in photography, and apparently taught them.

Logan does his homework every day right when he walks in the door, on his own. He is still my snuggler, which is sweet. He always wants to sit by me at church. Now if I could just get Logan to do his chores with out complaining and be nice to his little sister Lily!!
