Disney Cruise 2011

In March we left our cute little 1 year old Sophie at home with my wonderful sisters... and took our 5 oldest kids on the
Mexican Riviera Disney Cruise!
We booked the cruise and started paying for it 1 year before.

This picture below was taken as we walked on board the first time... They really have a line of people to welcome you and they say your name out loud with a microphone, "Disney Wonder welcomes the Vernon Family!" we were jumping up and down so excited.

The first thing we did was go to the pool! The kids swam while Ashlin and I went to the Cast Away celebration when we left port!

The pool was awesome, the kids swam every single day.

And there was free food everywhere.... yummy chicken tenders and french fries by the pool daily!

Here was our room, we had 2 adjoining, with a window. I was surprised that we did spend a lot of time here. You get tired being entertained and it was relaxing to go back to the room where there was Disney movies on the TV all day.

Lily was obviously our littlest and wanted to go back to the room often. For many breakfasts us girls slept in... and since there was free room service, Lily learned really quick to say to us, "just call the server".
Each of the kids had a club for their age they could go to. We could check Lily and Logan in and pick them up however long later. They did like these a lot, there were neat activities, but less than a few hours a day, the rest of the time we spent together. Emma however spent HOURS in her club... she is Miss Social, always wanted to go, and when we would pick her up you could hear her running the games and talking to everyone, she was so in her element.

Every night there were shows. They were all so great. There was broadway style shows as well as comedy shows. We went every night. There was also a movie theatre on board where we saw new release movies daily. That was awesome too.
There was so much to do every day, you couldn't even get it all in. We loved the cruise and I'm so glad we did it for the life experience. I don't know that I want to go again for a long time though. The nights freaked me out, and I wished we could have spent more time in Mexico then we did. Ashlin and I spent tons of time together, that was so fun. We ate too much though, there's a surprise, but it was just all too tempting all day!!

Still more posts below about cruise...
(too many great pictures and memories)
